McAndrews, Held & Malloy shareholder Patrick J. Arnold Jr. spoke at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo’s (AAPEX) 2011 Learning Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada. APPEX and its Learning Forum are part of the annual Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week, which is attended by more than 115,000 motor vehicle professionals.
Arnold’s session, titled “Making Packaging a Team Player in Brand Protection,” was held on Wednesday, November 2 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. This session, which was recommended for warehouse distributors and manufacturers, provided ideas these professionals can use as they seek more effective ways to protect and grow their brand. Attendees learned where and how packaging can be better leveraged to deter counterfeiting, the latest authentication technologies and how they work on packaging, and how to protect packaging trademarks as a competitive advantage. Arnold’s practice focuses on patent, trademark and copyright litigation, and he also assists clients in procurement, counseling and licensing. His patent practice involves diverse areas of technology.
